"It is a comfort to know that the experts at Akisha Networks can not only manage the technology I use every day but understand my business well enough to suggest ways technology can improve my business and bottom line. They are a true partner in every sense of the word.” |
| Creating Economic Opportunity in the Communities We Serve |

|
Since its inception, Akisha Networks has had a deep commitment to the success of the community in which it serves. As the technology gap between the technology "haves" and "have-nots" widens, lack of access to the economic opportunities inherent in the technology revolution of the latter part of the 20th century and beyond will render those in the disenfranchised communities virtually unemployable. To prosper in the new global economy of the 21st century, individuals will have to have the economic benefits of technology ingrained in their everyday life in such a way that "de-mystifies" technological concepts and exposes them to the new paradigms of life-long learning, knowledge work, and electronic communication and commerce. To accomplish this mission in Texas, Akisha Networks has partnered with the Pro-Vision, Inc and their pioneering Enterprise Academy Program, to employ and train those individuals who have recently obtained their high school diploma or GED but have no plans for college, those who have dropped out of high school but are seeking their GED, and those who have been in the workforce but are seeking to be re-trained in technology related areas. Combining Pro-Vision's innovative foundational training with the opportunity to engage in meaningful, practical, and marketable work provides individuals with the stimulus, motivation, and means to bring economic prosperity to themselves, their family, and their community.
